Law Firm WordPress Themes: Lawyer Base vs Attorna vs Law Firm

Compare Lawyer Base, Attorna and Law Firm WordPress themes for attorney profiles, practice areas, vendor builders, inquiry workflows, licenses and maintenance.

Brass balance scales, three abstract professional profile plaques and an unmarked teal case folder on ceramic plinths.

A law firm’s website has a different content problem from a general business brochure. Visitors need to connect a specific issue with an appropriate practice area, understand who works on that area and find a clear way to contact the firm. Meanwhile, staff need to keep biographies, office information and service descriptions consistent without editing the same details in several places.

Lawyer Base, Attorna and Law Firm are commercial WordPress themes designed around legal-practice presentation. The useful comparison concerns content structure and editing ownership rather than decorative courtroom imagery. We reviewed official listings and documentation on October 15, 2026. We have not installed these products, measured their speed or verified legal-marketing compliance. This article assesses website features, and its AI-generated artwork is illustrative.

Choose the publishing model before the homepage

Start by listing your practice areas, people and offices. Decide which relationships the site must display: one lawyer across several services, several contacts for one office, or case summaries linked to a practice area. A theme can save layout work, but it should not dictate an inaccurate description of how the firm operates.

These three products use vendor builders and traditional theme controls. They are not presented here as native full site editing themes. If the firm’s editor expects to manage headers and templates with the WordPress Site Editor, establish that requirement before purchasing. Our general business-theme comparison provides another starting point for teams considering a less specialized foundation.

WordPress theme Documented structure Regular-license price Priority to evaluate
Lawyer Base Attorney and practice post types; GoodLayers builder US$79 Repeatable people and service records
Attorna GoodLayers framework; attorney and case-study presentation US$89 Flexible layouts within one builder
Law Firm Bold Builder; quote-calculator presentation US$69 Service pages and inquiry structure

Lawyer Base

Lawyer Base by GoodLayers documents dedicated attorney and practice post types, attorney listings, a page builder and several practice layouts. The official page also lists WooCommerce and WPML support, a shortcode generator and demo-import material. Its framework should be evaluated on its own terms rather than assumed to behave like Elementor.

The strongest reason to consider it is a firm with a stable set of biographies and practice areas. Structured records can give the editorial team a clearer starting point than duplicating a staff profile as an ordinary page every time a new lawyer joins. Confirm how those records connect before designing the navigation.

Its limitation is the long-term relationship between the proprietary builder and those records. Ask which plugin registers each content type, what an export contains and how a future theme would display it. The presence of an attorney post type does not automatically prove that all information remains portable or visible after a theme change.

For an acceptance exercise, prepare a biography with a long name, two practice areas and a second office contact. Have the eventual editor update it and review the public listing. This proposed exercise is more informative for handover than simply counting homepage sections; it is not a test we performed.

Attorna

Attorna by GoodLayers uses the vendor’s third-generation framework and drag-and-drop builder. It documents attorney content, prebuilt practice-area and case-study pages, demo import, reusable page blocks, WooCommerce and WPML support. The builder offers vendor-specific live, preview and block view modes; that wording is not evidence of native WordPress block-theme architecture.

Its useful distinction is the scope for assembling a consistent set of service, person and case-study layouts inside the GoodLayers environment. Consider it when an agency will establish reusable sections and train a small editorial team to maintain them. Give the team a limited set of approved page patterns instead of an unrestricted collection of visual choices.

The tradeoff is investment in that builder’s workflow. Rebuilding a site in another editor later may require layout work even when the text is retained. Before buying, ask the vendor to demonstrate how a shared contact section and a reusable service layout are updated across several pages.

Attorna and Lawyer Base come from the same vendor, but do not assume identical importers, extensions or editing screens. Choose the product whose current package matches the planned handover. A richer layout framework is useful only when someone will maintain it and keep the presentation consistent as the firm grows.

Law Firm

Law Firm by BoldThemes describes a legal-services design with a customizable quote calculator, demo content, WooCommerce support and traditional Customizer options. Its page builder is Bold Builder, whose official documentation covers a separate plugin workflow. The product also advertises an AI text-generation feature; this comparison does not assess its output or entitlements.

The practical reason to shortlist it is a service-oriented site where explaining the inquiry is more useful than presenting an extensive attorney directory. Define what information the firm needs before an initial conversation and design the form around that process. If a calculator is used, have the firm decide exactly what its result means.

The limitation is that a general quote calculator is not evidence of a suitable pricing or intake system for every practice. Confirm the logic, integrations and additional costs required by your own workflow. Avoid presenting an automatically generated amount or statement as a professional commitment unless the firm has deliberately approved that behavior.

There is also a naming trap: WordPress.org contains a separate theme called Law Firm by Good Looking Themes. That directory listing is not the BoldThemes product compared here and does not establish a free tier for it. Verify the author and purchase page, not only the short theme name.

License scope and ongoing costs

Prices in the table are the checked ThemeForest regular-license offers in US dollars before tax and handling. No free edition from these same vendors was confirmed. Standard licensing describes one end product; confirm the arrangement for separate firm or client websites rather than treating one purchase as an unlimited agency plan.

The listings include future updates and six months of support. Their purchase-time extension amounts do not establish the later support renewal cost, which remains unconfirmed here. Get a current quote when budgeting renewal. The support policy also distinguishes support from installation and customization. Translation tools, form extensions, hosting and integration work can add separate costs.

Compatibility and content questions to resolve

  • Who approves content? Establish a review step for biographies, services and case summaries before import. A demo’s examples are placeholders, not facts about your practice.
  • Which component owns records? Obtain the exact required companion-plugin list and keep it with the handover notes. Ask what remains available when the theme is deactivated.
  • How do inquiries arrive? Validate delivery, confirmation wording and the destination inbox. Keep the initial form aligned with the information the firm has chosen to accept there.
  • What is the supported stack? Check the intended WordPress, PHP, builder, translation and WooCommerce versions. Marketplace compatibility labels are not a guarantee for every current combination.

Use a staging page with the longest real practice-area name and the least compact biography. Review keyboard navigation, mobile menus and form-error messages, then ask a staff editor to make a routine correction. Treat a clear maintenance path as a purchase criterion, alongside appearance. Leave commerce disabled unless the firm has a defined transaction workflow; WooCommerce compatibility alone does not implement that process.

Which theme matches the firm?

Shortlist Lawyer Base for structured attorney and practice records with a relatively focused GoodLayers workflow. Prioritize Attorna when reusable layouts and a broader GoodLayers framework fit an agency-led handover. Choose Law Firm when Bold Builder and service-oriented inquiry presentation match the planned site, after clarifying calculator behavior. The best fit is the one that makes accurate people, service and contact information straightforward to maintain.
