Gym Class WordPress Themes: GymBase vs Gym Edge vs Fitness Zone

Compare GymBase, Gym Edge and Fitness Zone WordPress themes for gym timetables, trainer pages, booking dependencies and purchase terms.

A gym website needs to answer a practical question before it sells a membership: which class can a visitor attend, with which trainer, and how do they reserve a place? An attractive timetable can still create work for reception if it is disconnected from the system that controls capacity. GymBase, Gym Edge and Fitness Zone approach the presentation of classes differently, so the useful comparison starts with the person who updates next week’s schedule.

This comparison concerns the WordPress themes from QuanticaLabs, RadiusTheme and designthemes respectively. It uses official product pages and documentation checked on October 16, 2026. We have not installed these themes or measured their performance. The featured illustration represents the subject; it is not a theme screenshot.

What a fitness theme should organize

Separate class descriptions, recurring timetable entries and reservations. A description explains a session; a timetable announces when it happens; a reservation system tracks attendance and remaining places. Membership billing adds another responsibility. Decide whether your website will own those records or send people to an existing gym platform. This prevents a demo’s booking button from becoming an unsupported promise.

WordPress theme Editing and class presentation Purchase reference Main decision
GymBase WPBakery layouts, trainers and built-in timetable ThemeForest Regular License: US$79 Schedule publishing with configurable calculators
Gym Edge Elementor or WPBakery; class, day and routine views ThemeForest: US$59; direct offers differ Builder choice and support channel
Fitness Zone Classic layouts, timetable and companion features ThemeForest Regular License: US$59 Training content with a version-specific plugin stack

These are observed marketplace prices before tax and handling, rather than lowest-price claims. The products are commercial themes; no same-vendor free edition was established. The free Gym Edge directory listing is by Wptexture, not RadiusTheme, and is a different product.

GymBase

GymBase’s official listing describes a timetable manager, class and trainer content, WPBakery Page Builder, WooCommerce integration and a demo importer. That combination makes it a reasonable shortlist for a studio whose public schedule is the central website feature. A visitor can start with a class, understand its purpose and find the relevant trainer without the homepage carrying every detail.

The included Cost Calculator supports configurable forms and Stripe payment integration, including recurring payment intervals. Treat that as a form-and-payment capability. It does not establish that the theme provides your desired attendance rules, door access, cancellation window or membership entitlement checks. Ask for a demonstration of the exact transaction before replacing an existing club-management platform.

Its strength is a coherent publishing model for classes and staff. The limitation is that WPBakery components and specialized calculation forms create a handover requirement. An editor should know which screen changes the schedule, which screen changes the class description and which screen changes a payment rule. Document those separately rather than teaching staff to edit the whole homepage.

For an evaluation, prepare a beginner session that changes trainer halfway through a month. Check whether the intended configuration communicates that exception without creating two competing timetable entries. Also inspect the route back from a payment confirmation to the class details. Those are proposed acceptance checks, not results we obtained from this theme.

Gym Edge

RadiusTheme’s Gym Edge listing advertises Elementor and WPBakery support, trainer layouts and three schedule approaches: table routine, class and day. These choices are useful when different audiences browse differently. A regular member may search by weekday while a new visitor begins with a class description. Choose one primary path and make the alternate views consistent.

The package history identifies GymEdge Core and RT Demo Importer alongside bundled builder and slider updates. Select a demo for the builder your maintainer will use. Supporting two builders does not mean a page can be switched between them without rebuilding its layout. Keep unused demonstration content out of the final navigation.

The purchasing channel needs particular attention. The direct vendor offer displayed US$41 for one site, US$174 for five and US$314 for twenty, with twelve months of support and a stated renewal discount of 30%. It also advertised RadiusBooking for booking and appointments. The marketplace showed US$59 and six months of support, while the direct page said marketplace purchases receive no technical support. Obtain written clarification of that conflict before choosing a channel. A numeric future support-renewal total was not confirmed.

Gym Edge’s advantage is the choice of schedule presentation and editing workflow. Its constraint is procurement clarity: confirm the current package, booking-plugin entitlement, renewal and update route together. For a multi-location gym, establish whether separate sites need separate activations and whether the selected plan covers them.

Fitness Zone

Fitness Zone combines training-program pages, trainer presentation, a class timetable, appointment-oriented features and shop layouts. It suits a club that needs substantial explanations of programs as well as a weekly grid. A good structure would let a visitor compare the demands of two sessions before reaching the timetable.

The official manual distinguishes the required DesignThemes Core Features plugin from recommended sliders. However, it also documents older editing workflows. The product changelog records later moves to Visual Composer modules, a separate reservation plugin and WDT Demo Importer. Use the documentation matching the purchased release; an old manual is not a reliable list of today’s exact dependencies.

This distinction is its main evaluation issue. The theme’s breadth can reduce layout design work, but a long-lived site needs a precise inventory of what owns reservations, shortcodes and imported content. Ask the vendor which plugins are necessary for your chosen demo and which can be omitted. Do not assume an appointment feature includes recurring membership billing or capacity enforcement.

Before committing, have the future editor explain how they would cancel one occurrence, replace a trainer and revise a program’s introductory copy. If those tasks require several unrelated screens, budget for a short operating guide. That maintenance cost can matter more than the difference between the three theme prices.

Compatibility and total ownership cost

These are classic, builder-oriented choices. Gutenberg compatibility concerns content editing and does not establish native Site Editor control of every header and template. If block-based template editing is a requirement, get explicit confirmation rather than interpreting a compatibility badge as FSE support.

WooCommerce support is listed for these products, but subscriptions, memberships, payment-provider fees and any external booking service need their own budget. Bundled premium plugins do not automatically provide a separate direct-vendor license. For marketplace purchases, check the single-end-product license and the support period; continuing use, available updates and renewed support are different entitlements.

Ask for the current support-extension quote instead of treating a checkout promotion as a permanent renewal price. Include hosting, transactional email and maintenance in your first-year plan. If you mainly need a simple marketing site connected to an established booking service, our business-theme comparison provides a broader starting point.

Which approach fits your gym?

Shortlist GymBase when timetable publishing and configurable enquiry or payment forms are central. Choose Gym Edge for its schedule views and builder options after resolving channel-specific support and RadiusBooking terms. Consider Fitness Zone when program explanations and trainer content dominate, provided its current dependency list is clear. Keep the platform that owns attendance and billing explicit in every case.

Before launch, review a cancelled class on mobile, an unavailable session and the booking confirmation together. The right theme is the one your team can maintain accurately when the weekly plan changes, with a clear route for members to complete the next step.
